A Dance of Promises: A Scripture Symphony

Raised HandsI am the Lord, and there is no other;

apart from me there is no God.

I will strengthen you,

though you have not acknowledged Me,

I will sing of Your strength,

in the morning I will sing of Your love;

for You are my fortress,

my refuge in times of trouble.

Call upon Me in the day of trouble;

I will deliver you, and you will honor Me.

 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil, for You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

My goodness and love will follow you all the days of your life,

and you will dwell in My house forever.

I will lie down and sleep in peace,

for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance,

the ends of the earth your possession.

I will praise you among the nations, O Lord;

I will sing praises to your name.

I will be glad and rejoice in you;

I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

I will not fear the tens of thousands

drawn up against me on every side.

I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand

and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Do not fear, for I am with you;

do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you;

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

You are my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.

You, the Lord, are my strength and my song;

You have become my salvation.

When I am afraid, I will trust in You.

In You I trust; I will not be afraid.  What can man do to me?

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;

I will counsel you and watch over you.

You will see My goodness in the land of the living.

My heart says of You, “Seek his face!”

Your face, Lord, I will seek.

In a surge of anger I hid My face from you for a moment,

but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you.

For a brief moment I abandoned you,

but with deep compassion I will bring you back.

I have seen your ways, but I will heal you;

I will guide you and restore comfort to you.

I will exalt you, O Lord, for You lifted me out of the depths

and did not let my enemies gloat over me.

I will crush your foes before you and strike down your adversaries.

I will be glad and rejoice in Your love,

for You saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.

I will maintain my love to you forever, and My covenant with you  will never fail.

I will not take My love from you, nor will I ever betray my faithfulness.

I will not violate my covenant or alter what My lips have uttered.

I will proclaim the decree of the Lord:

You said to me, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.”

 I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.

I will sing of your great love forever;

with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.

I will declare that your love stands firm forever,

that you established your faithfulness in heaven itself.

 You are precious and honored in My sight, and I love you,

Because you love me, I will rescue you;

I will protect you, for you acknowledge My name.

You will call upon me, and I will answer you;

I will be with you in trouble, I will deliver you and honor you.

Before you call I will answer; while you are still speaking I will hear.

Because You turned Your ear to me, I will call on You as long as I live.

I will sing to You all my life; I will sing praise to You, my God, as long as I live.

I will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have preserved my life.

You will not die but live, and will proclaim what I have done.

I will come and proclaim Your mighty acts, O Sovereign Lord;

I will proclaim Your righteousness, Yours alone.

It is good to be near You.

I have made You, the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all Your deeds.

I will listen to what You will say;

You promise peace to Your people, Your saints — I will not return to folly.

Though you have fallen, you will rise.

Though you sit in darkness, I, the Lord will be your light.

Because you have sinned against Me,

You will bear My indignation, until I plead your case and establish your right.

I will bring you out into the light; You will see My righteousness.

In the day of my trouble I will call to You, for You will answer me.

Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in Your truth;

give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart;

I will glorify your name forever.

In the time of My favor I will answer you,

and in the day of salvation I will help you;

I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people…

I will lead you by ways you have not known,

along unfamiliar paths I will guide you;

I will turn the darkness into light before you and make the rough places smooth.

These are the things I will do; I will not forsake you.

Because You, the Sovereign Lord, help me, I will not be disgraced.

Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;

I will sing and make music.  My heart will sing to You and not be silent.

O Lord my God, I will give You thanks forever.
